Super Crossfire is a modern twist classic arcade shooter. Using a unique switching mechanic, players can warp their ship from the bottom to the top of the screen at anytime. This ingenious addition along with intense gameplay, a massive upgrade system and a huge variety of enemies makes Super Crossfire stand out as a real evolution of the genre. From the start, CrossFire was written with the specific goal of providing first-class support for all major OSes. It has been tested extensively on Windows, Macintosh (OS X 10.7.3 & later), and Linux, and is ready to run no matter what your favorite system. Crossfire was Korea's answer to Counter-Strike, so much so that it was once one of the biggest games in the world with around 660 million players. It's not a well-known title in the west these.

A downloadable game
Made for the GMTK Game Jam 2018 with the theme: 'GENRE, without MECHANIC' where you take away the most fundamental mechanic of that genre.
Crossfire is a Shooter where you can't shoot! Instead, you'll have to run straight into the enemy's crossfire in an attempt to get them to shoot themselves! I know this sounds difficult but don't worry, you can slow down time! Use that to your advantage while in their crossfire.
- Your avatar moves towards your cursor. You cannot stop moving.
- Hold left mouse button to activate slow-mo.
- Your slow-mo only lasts for a short while and recharges rapidly when you're not using it.
- If slowmo is fully depleted, it goes on cooldown mode and you can't use it again until it's fully recharged.
- Enemies won't shoot if you're close to them, so don't be afraid to dive straight into a group of them!
- Dead enemies drop little glowing orbs. Collect them to regenerate your shield!
- Enemies can't kill you by touching you, only their bullets can.

Hey RavenBane, thank you, glad you enjoyed Crossfire! I'm happy to announce that Crossfire is coming to Steam 2020.
Can you please send me a link to the sound effect of the enemy dying? I want to use it for my own game, but I can't find it

Hello
Crossfire (itch) (nolski) Mac Os Update

trying to make a shooter and this would be useful :D
thanks

Hi there, I would love to do so. However, in order for me to do that, I'll need to have a device running macOS to create .dmg or .app applications. Unfortunately I don't own such a device. Although I could recommend that you download an app that allows you to run .exe programs on your mac such as Wine Bottler.
Follow these steps:
1. Head over to the link here and download the latest version of Wine Bottler. Next, wait for the advertising screen to disappear.
(Note: It is not recommended that you download the development version as it may cause issues.)
2. Double click on the Wine Bottler setup to begin the installation.
3. Locate the EXE file you want to use and double-click on it. Select open with 'Wine.' Up in arms mac os.
4. Make sure that the 'Run Directly In' option is marked
5. Click the 'Go' button located in the lower-right corner
The concept is almost there! Right now the most survivable playstyle, like ZipCreator said, is to run around the outside. There isn't a lot of incentive to stic in the middle of all of them and the movement doesn't quite allow for enough reaction time to always dodge bullets reliably, not bad at all though!

Thank you very much for your constructive feedback! Your suggestions were very helpful in identifying how to improve the player's survival and the overall gameplay. All of these suggestions will likely be implemented and I'll release an update once the jam submission period was over. Thank you again for playing :D
The only problem with the game is that you can go in a circle around the map and easily rack up a lot of points.
